Om Shanti Handcrafts

What I’m workin on, when I’m workin on it.

Look quick!

I’ve been featured on an Etsy Treasury!

It’ll be up until sometime Monday so you do have a couple of days, but after that it’ll be gone. This Treasury features some of my fellow Colorado artists as well, so do check out what they have to offer too! There are some beautiful things to look at.

As requested…rats!

A loyal reader of mine (and you know who you are!) has requested rats pictures.

So here they are!

Atreyu’s the darker one (brave boy), and Bastian’s hiding under him. Bastian’s pretty shy but he’s at least got to the point where he knows I’m safe.

Atreyu going “lemme out! lemme out!” Both he and Basitan have escaped the cage a couple of times, but they never go far.

And Remy. Digging.

We were evil to Remy…actually I guess it was more evil to Thomas, since Remy didn’t care:

Rat? What rat?

Thomas is truly exceptional at ignoring things he doesn’t want to deal with.

Before freakage occurs, Thomas is old, slow, and had basically no prey drive, and I was right there ready to grab anyway.

My little boys!

And that’s all for now!

I have been remiss!

I have been reminded by the lovely Paper Girl Productions that one should review what one purchases!

See, she’s got a post over at her place of 35 Ideas to Blog About. And while I’m rarely out of ideas, I’ll still take one of hers (with requested link!) and review a purchase I made recently.

There I was, chatting and promoting away on the Etsy forums, hoping to talk someone into buying my stuff, and somehow I got suckered into buying something, myself. 10oneworld, an absolute sweetie, makes the loveliest organic t-shirts (and onesies and tote bags) with the entire world on them.

Nope, that’s not me wearing it. I’ve got a picture with it on but you can’t see the world, alas!

The globe is actually appliqued on — it gives a really neat effect. And everything’s organic, the packaging she used is recycled (and I’ve already reused it shipping some of my stuff out), and she even included a dollar-off coupon for an organic, earth-friendly detergent to wash it in.

Have a look at some of her other stuff, and be sure to visit her site!
